Nikki Mundell-Poole, Theatre Director

Hello,

a bit about me:

Nikki's journey in the performing arts began with The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and LAMDA. However, her roots in musical theatre run deep, as she grew up immersed in its world.

After years of performing herself, Nikki transitioned into directing and choreographing for Semi-Professional and Amateur Societies in and around Essex, accumulating an impressive 35 years of experience.

In addition to her directing and choreography roles, Nikki has served as a stand-alone choreographer, adept at assembling top-quality musical productions within tight timeframes, ranging from four weeks to six months. She has also conducted workshops with schools and colleges, sharing her expertise in directing drama and school productions.

Nikki's involvement in West End productions, including acclaimed shows like 'Phantom of the Opera', 'Miss Saigon', and 'Les Misérables', reflects her dedication to elevating the standards of Performing Arts Schools and College productions. Her passion extends to engaging young people in the magic of live theatre and musicals.

Beyond her directing endeavours, Nikki is a dedicated teacher, offering personalized 1:1 lessons in elocution, acting skills, audition preparation, public speaking, and business presentations. Her lessons cater to individual needs and cover various aspects of performance, from character development to vocal techniques.

Throughout her career, Nikki has contributed to over 70 productions with Amateur societies, many of which gained awards. Her diverse repertoire includes classics like 'South Pacific', 'Fiddler on the Roof', and 'The Sound of Music', as well as contemporary favourites such as 'Legally Blonde' and 'Chess'.

Nikki's versatility extends to pantomimes, where she has showcased her skills in slapstick and audience participation, both as a Principal Boy and as a Director.

When not rehearsing Nikki can be found enjoying the company of her husband, her sons and her dog.
